Matthew A. Kem, ChFC

Financial Advisor

Matthew has been a financial professional since he graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2005.  He began his career in public accounting working for a family owned CPA firm, primarily focusing on tax preparation and conducting audits.  After several years working in public accounting, he decided to partner with Thomas Lovelady and use his expertise to help families and business owners with assistance in building their financial freedom. 

In addition to his experience as both a financial advisor and a public accountant, Matthew brings to clients extensive education.  He has successfully completed the FINRA sponsored Series 6, 7, and 63 exams and holds life and health insurance licenses with several states.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.  From The American College of Financial Services, he has earned the designation of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) which requires coursework in estate planning, income taxation, retirement planning, investments, risk management and other financial issues. 

Matthew currently serves on the local board of directors for United Way, James E. Bruce Convention Center, Rotary International, the University of Kentucky Alumni club, and the Pennyroyal Center.  Matthew's wife, Megan, is an assistant principal of Hopkinsville High School.  They have two children, Lilly and Charlie.











Thomas Lovelady, CLU, ChFC

Financial Advisor

Tom has been in the financial services industry since 1979, providing comprehensive, personalized services to small business owners, retirees, and those pre-retirees who are still planning for the future.

His experience of more than 35 years and his Master's Degree from Murray State University have given him a wide educational experience.  He has achieved numerous industry awards and is proud to have earned his CLU and ChFC designations.  He is fully licensed for life and health insurance, as well as general securities.

Tom earned the Elite level of the Lincoln Financial Securities Premier Partners®  program for 2017.  This is an internal designation based in part on the assets under management, sales and compliance criteria.

His office is based in his hometown, and he is well known as a caring, concerned individual. His primary source of customers is his family-oriented practice and his loyal and still-growing client base.












Jayn Alexander

Office Facilitator

Jayn has over 15 years of experience in the financial and insurance industry.  She is the first point of contact with our clients and her friendly and helpful personality puts people at ease immediately.

While Jayn's major function is to manage the day-to-day business and administrative matters, her responsibilities also include  processing new business, answering the phone, and assisting the staff and clients with any general office needs.
